Parking, Directions, and Shipping Information

Library Annex I is located on North State Drive, near the corner of Winston Drive and Lake Merced Boulevard. It is northwest of the main parking garage (Lots 19 &20). Click here to view a complete campus map.

SF State is a transit-first campus, committed to lowering our drive-alone auto trips to reduce traffic congestion and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions through accessible mass transportation options.  There are a number of transit options for getting to and from SF State.

SF State offers a free shuttle service connecting the campus to the Daly City BART Station and selected stops around the campus. Learn more about Shuttle Service 

SF State can be reached from the Daly City BART station via the free SF State shuttle and Muni bus route 28 and route 57.  Effective Monday, March 23, 2020 BART will be stopping service at 9:00pm, until further notice.  For more information go to https://www.bart.gov/ Learn more about BART 

A number of different Muni bus routes as well as the Muni M line serve the SF state campus. Learn more about Muni

Other transportation providers such as SamTrans, Golden Gate Transit, Bay Area Ferries Caltrain can be used in conjunction with the SF State shuttle, BART and Muni to reach the SF State campus. Learn more about Other Transportation Providers

If arriving at SF State by automobile, several parking lots provide convenient access to the Annex. The annex is just northwest of Lots 19 and 20-- the campus parking garage. Additionally, Lot 25, just north of Winston Drive and east of Lake Merced Boulevard, is near the Annex. For more information, visit the Department of Parking & Transporation.

C.A.R.E., the Campus Alliance for a Risk-free Environment, is a student security team employed, trained, and supervised by the University Police Department. Team members will be available to escort you to and from the Annex. While most escorts are provided by walking, an electric cart escort is available under special circumstances. To contact CARE, call 338-7200 and tell the dispatcher where you would prefer to be met. Please allow 10 to 15 minutes for CARE. to arrive. For more information, visit the CARE website.
